Answers about your account, Premium, the cameras and the app.
Lineup is a platform with live cameras at beaches across Latin America and surf forecasts. Lineup's forecasters also write the Expert Forecast, which explains the forecast in plain words.
Creating an account is free, and with it you can already use Lineup, with some limits. Lineup Premium removes them.
On the spot list, tap Are we missing a spot? and tell us which one. You can also write to aloha@lineup.surf with its name and where it is. We'll consider adding it.
Write to aloha@lineup.surf or on WhatsApp and we'll help you.
If you love the ocean and think you can add something to Lineup, write to aloha@lineup.surf and tell us how. We're not always hiring, but we like getting to know people.
It's written by Lineup's forecasters, one per country, who know each coast. With Free you see today's and tomorrow's (the analysis, only today's). With Premium, more days, more analysis, the trends and the spots recommended by the forecaster.
They're the Rating: from 0 to 5 stars, the wave quality that Lineup's forecast estimates for that spot at that time. More stars, better waves. It's based on the size and period of the waves, the swell direction relative to the spot's orientation, and the wind.
On each spot's page, in the Tide section, and on Lineup's tide pages. With Free you see today's tide; with Premium, the next 10 days.
Spanish, Portuguese and English. Change it in Account > Preferences > Preferred language; on a computer, also with the language selector at the bottom of the page.
On lineup.surf, tap Sign Up (on your phone, Account). Choose Continue with Google, Continue with Apple or Continue with Email (name, email and a password of at least 8 characters). It's free.
In Account > My Subscription you see your subscription type, the price, whether the plan is monthly or yearly, where it's managed (web or App Store) and the renewal date, or until when you have Premium if you canceled.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot your password? Recover, enter your email and we'll send you a link to create a new one. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder. If you sign in with Google or Apple, you don't have a Lineup password: use that button.
On your phone, tap Account (in the bottom bar) and then Log out. On a computer, hover over your profile picture at the top right and click Log out.
In Account > Preferences, tap Delete account. If you have Premium with automatic renewal, cancel it first in Account > My Subscription. Note: afterwards you won't be able to create another account with the same email.
In Account > Preferences > Notifications and emails you choose, for each type (News newsletter, Product updates, Camera and spot alerts, Promotions and offers), whether you want it by Email, In-app or Push. Essential emails (security, payments and your account) are always sent.
It's two-step verification. If you're Premium you can turn it on (it's optional) in Account > Preferences > Security, and choose to get the code by email or on WhatsApp. With it on, every time you sign in we send you a 6-digit code that expires after 3 minutes.
You can sign in with the same account on your phone, your computer and the app. If you have two-step verification on, your account can be open on up to 2 devices at the same time: if you sign in on a third one, the oldest session is closed.
In Account > Profile you can change your name, your avatar and your favorite sport. Your email can't be changed on the web: if you need to, write to aloha@lineup.surf.
In Account > Preferences > Security, tap Change password and we'll send you an email to create a new one. If you sign in with Google or Apple, you don't have a Lineup password, so that option doesn't show up.
We monitor the cameras all the time and, when one goes down, we work to bring it back as soon as possible. If a camera has problems you'll see the notice Camera is having streaming issues: reload the page and, if it keeps happening, write to us on WhatsApp with the spot's name. We'll tell you whether it's down and, if we know, when it'll be back.
If you have a place with a view of a spot, or know someone who does, you can host a Lineup camera. See how in Host a Camera or write to aloha@lineup.surf.
With Cam Rewind (Premium): on the spot's page, tap the Cam Rewind button, choose the day under Recorded days (the last 7), move along the Day timeline to your wave and tap Download these 10 min to download the clip. On the live camera you also have Watch last 10 minutes.
Save spots to Favorites: there you see their cameras together. With Free you get 1 favorite; with Premium, up to 4.
In Account > Wave Alert, tap Create New Alert (or, on the spot's page, Create a wave alert for this spot). Choose the spot, the minimum quality (2 to 5 stars) and how many days in advance you want us to email you: 1 day, or with Premium also 3 or 5. With Free you get 1 alert; with Premium, 3.
It's a link to Save The Waves, an organization that protects coastlines: there you can report a threat to the beach (pollution, construction, etc.). The report goes to Save The Waves, not to Lineup.
